DIVISION 1:- Aylesbury

WEALDSTONE The club continues to share with Edgware Town whilst it remains homeless (see map link here). The local area has little to offer, the only option being the CHANGE OF HART at 21 High St, formerly the White Hart, a famous coaching Inn. Pedigree, Tetley and a guest availbale, with food available, served from a central island bar. It is very close to the ground. As usual the more adventurous will be rewarded- Wealdstone itself is a couple of miles to the west. Pick of the bunch here is probably the *ROYAL OAK, Peel Rd (map>), which although no longer with a public bar remains quite a pleasant 1930's house and is a Good Beer Guide regular. Tetley and Burton ale are regulars, and Adnams is very frequently on offer, as well as guests. Close to the Harrow Wealdstone stations of BR and the Underground, but a bit of a walk from the 186 bus that will take you to the ground. In the High St the *SARSEN STONE is a good Wetherspoon's house with pictures from the illustrious history of the football club. From here the 186 will take you to Edgware. In the opposite direction from Edgware at Highwood Hill (Grid Ref 219935) is the RISING SUN at the top of Marsh Lane, the A 5109, 3/4 mile from the A1/A41 junction. This much altered pub still retains its semi-rural feel, and parts of it date back to the seventeenth century. The 251 bus will take you directly here from Edgware. Youngs Bitter, Burton Ale, and Adnams bitter are the usual suspects here, along with lunchtime food. Recommended. Coming from the north, Stanmore is your best bet, and best here is the *MALTHOUSE, 7 Stanmore Hill (map>) near the Church Rd junction, about 10 mins walk from the Underground (Note: this is not the Northern Line on which Edgware lies! Nearest Jubilee Line station to the ground is Canons Park, about a mile's walk). The Malthouse offers a good range of guest beers and you should be able to get some food (more reports of the food welcome!). If you are in Stanmore and mobile, further up the Hill at 154 is the *VINE, an old coaching inn with the Tetley portfolio and guests, plus food.
